The Start of a New Chapter: Welcome to Elliot Thomas Consulting.

Yesterday marked a milestone I've been working toward for a long time, the official launch of Elliot Thomas Consulting, a specialist recruitment consultancy dedicated to the Architecture, Interior Design, and Town Planning sectors, working with clients and candidates across the UK, US and Canada.

Building this business has been one of the most rewarding things I've done. But it hasn't happened overnight. It's the product of years spent working alongside organisations and individuals across the built environment sector, learning what great recruitment actually looks like, and just as importantly, what it too often isn't.

What I kept coming back to was this: businesses and candidates deserve more than a transactional service. They deserve a partner who listens properly, acts with integrity, stays focused on what matters, and brings genuine expertise to every conversation. Those four principles — Listen, Integrity, Focus, Expertise — aren't just a values statement. They're the standard we hold ourselves to on every assignment.

Elliot Thomas Consulting exists to support businesses as they grow, adapt, and navigate change, and to help talented professionals find roles where they can truly thrive. That means tailored solutions, honest advice, and a long-term approach, not a quick placement and goodbye.

None of this would have been possible without the encouragement and valuable lessons learnt off so many people along the way, family, friends, former colleagues, clients, and professional connections.

This is just the beginning. I'm looking forward to the relationships we'll build, the problems we'll solve together, and the opportunities ahead, and I hope you'll follow along!
